Nabothian Cysts
A Nabothian cyst is a cyst (collection of fluid) in the cervix. They occur when a cervical gland gets blocked and the secretions build up, forming the cyst. They are very common, and essentially never cause any symptoms. Since they cause no symptoms they do not need to be treated.
Endometrial Polyps
A fibroid is a benign tumor of the muscular tissue that makes up the wall of the uterus. Sometimes they can develop inside the uterine cavity on a stalk and appear to be polyp-shaped.
An endometrial polyp is an overgrowth of the tissue that lines the endometrial canal. They are usually benign.
Either can cause worsening of menstrual bleeding.
Uterine Artery Embolization (UAE) is not a good treatment for endometrial polyps. Both polyp-like fibroids (which are technically referred to as "pedunculated submucosal" fibroids) and endometrial polyps can often be treated by hysteroscopic resection or D&C. However, this does not treat any other fibroids which may be present.
